ema is equipped with an interface for importing data in XLSX format. This interface is used to integrate/link the Editor for Manual Work Activities into/to existing system landscapes. In the present version, data exchange is realised via a separate XLSX file which contains six worksheets:
▪process: Process information (Tasks, linked products and equipments)
▪objects: Definition of objects (products, equipment and other resources) with properties (e. g. weight) and position information
▪container: Configuration of the containers (type, location and textures if any)
▪container_library: Customizable container library
▪sprache / language: Language setting (possible to switch between German and English)
▪object parameter documentation: List of object parameters
The commands Import by ema Wizard (xlsx)... and Create ema Wizard template (xlsx)... are accessible via the sub-menu ema Wizard defined within the menu Im-/Export. With Create ema Wizard Template (xlsx) ... an empty Wizard template file can be saved to a desired location. To start the import, the other command, Import by ema Wizard (xlsx) ..., must be executed. With this command the input Excel file could be selected and opened. In the event of errors during data import, the corresponding error messages are displayed in a separate error message dialog window as well as in the process area. A potential error occurs if the Excel file is already opened in another program.
iDuring import, it is also to be noted that as a consequence of successful loading of the XLSX file, all existing task data will stay. It will not be overwritten. |
The following sections describe the structure and the format of the incoming data and the further processing in ema in more detail.
