There are two methods of licensing devices: file based and server based licenses. A file based license means the license is tied to the device. Server based licensing issues license from a license server, allowing licenses to be issued to any computer connected to the server, up to the number of licenses available. Use the checkbox File based licensing to choose file based or server based licensing. If you have not purchased a license server, file based licensing is necessary.

Depending on the licensing method, different inputs are necessary:

By starting without license, ema can function either in Demo-mode or in Viewer-mode.

In Viewer-mode, the loaded project will be automatically simulated and then can be reproduced. The Demo-mode basically contains full functionality. The difference consists of the following:

1)in the 3D view a water mark edited with non-commercial license is displayed,

2)a similar message is displayed as text bubble on human model and

3)only human models of the 5th and 95th percentile are available.

With the button BOF-MUL-MOP-LZZ_ET-Demo / BOF-MUL-MOP-LZZ_ET-DemoViewer , it is possible to switch between the two modes. Then the program will be automatically restarted.
