The calculation of ergonomics is based on the EAWS procedure (modules 0 - 3). Please note that the evaluation results depend on the postures for each human model. For the evaluation to be meaningful, the simulation must be reasonably realistic. Because the EAWS calculations use data from simulations that are based on estimate and aggregations, the results should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified individual.
iThe distinction between ergonomic good/poor conditions is based on the posture scores defined in EAWS section 3. When the posture score is ≤ 2, then it is considered as ergonomic good conditions (e.g. load handling by standing upright, holding load close to the body). When the posture score is > 2, then it is considered as ergonomic poor condition (e.g. load handling with strongly bent posture, holding load away from the body). |
The work area of the tab EAWS Full Body is divided into three parts (see figure Work area of the tab EAWS Full Body). The left area contains different input fields and function buttons, whereas the central and right area show the results of the EAWS evaluation in the form of points and different diagrams and surveys.
