The so-called value parameters are used to input the numerical values. In doing so, distinction is generally made between integers and floating-point numbers (see figure Integer and figure Floating-point number), which are required depending on the parameter’s purpose. Besides the condition that the parameter to be complied with only digits, no letters and dot “.” as decimal separator, it is additionally limited by a minimum and / or a maximum value.
