In this task, the human model places one foot onto the predefined target place. The other foot remains in the initial position.
Subordinate tasks:
none, because its an elementary task

Meaning |
---|---|---|---|
Target for foot |
Position |
yes |
A coordinate parameter determining the target point for the foot. |
Use left foot |
Checkbox |
no |
A decision parameter determining whether the step will be performed by means of the left or the right foot. |
Target for hip |
Position & orientation |
no |
A coordinate parameter used to define the position and the final orientation of the human model’s hip (see information below). |
Fix hip position |
Checkbox |
no |
A decision parameter determining whether the human model will move a foot to the indicated target without changing the positions of the hip and the unused foot (see information below). |
Body movement type |
Selection |
no |
A selection parameter used to select or limit the upper body motion to be used. |
Posture left/right hand / arm |
Selection |
no |
A selection parameter defining the different hand and arm positions for the current task and the subsequent tasks. For a detailed description, see chapter Performance library under Hand / arm position left / right. |
iThe distance of the selected target point must not exceed the maximum step length of the human model. iIf no target is indicated for the hip and if the hip position is not fixed, then the task can be interpreted as “lunge”. iThe parameter Target for hip is dominant over the parameter Fix hip position. If a Target for hip is indicated, it is used for the calculation of the target position. The parameter Fix hip position, however, has an influence on the height of the hip and thus on the type of leg motion. If the target for the hip is indicated and the hip position fixed, the hip which was geometrically fixed to the position of the pelvis is exactly brought to the indicated position. However, if the parameter Fix hip position is deactivated, the height of the hip is adjusted. If the marker for the hip target is positioned on the floor, it is assumed that the human model shall be in upright position. In this case, the hip height correction amounts to approx. one leg length (depending on the positions of the feet). If the marker is not positioned on the floor, but at a higher position (e.g. on a chair), it is assumed that the human model shall rather adopt a sitting or cowering posture. Therefore, a height correction of only a few centimetres is made, in order to avoid sinking into the chair. |
