The point distance measurement measures the Euclidean distance (D in mm) between two points in three-dimensional space (see chapter User interface / 3D settings / Interaction modes and figure Point distance measurement).

The distance measurement is realised by means of left clicks:
1st click: Starting point on the primary object
2nd click: Target point on the secondary object
Via the symbol you can open or close the menu in the measurement mode:

If the measurement is not locked, the distance display changes dynamically when moving one of the two objects. If the measurement is locked (distance display of the selected axis turns red), the distance between the objects maintains when moving one of the two objects. Locking is only possible in the distance and not in the angle mode. |
