The layout settings are used to set the increment during interactive shifting and rotation of objects in layout mode (see figure Layout settings).

With the settings Set translation limitations and Set rotation limitations the translation and rotation of an object can be limited to specific axes and planes by the help of the object manipulator (see chapter User interface / 3D view / Object manipulation) in the layout mode. For example, it is so possible to rule out that an object can be moved falsely on a plane instead of on an axle. It is also possible to rule out object rotations when only an object translation is required.

 

 

Set translation limitations [mm] (shift increment): (default: 100 mm), maximum 10000 mm

Set rotation limitations [°] (rotation increment): (default: 15°), maximum 359.99° (< 360°)
