The interaction mode determines the different levels of possible interactions in the 3D work environment and is selected via a drop-down field (see figure Interaction modes).
Figure 136: Interaction modes
The following interaction modes are possible:
No interaction: No interaction takes place. This setting is used to fix a view in order to prevent unintentional navigation.
Navigation: is used for the control of the 3D environment (see chapter User interface / 3D view / Mouse control).
Selection: is used for the control of the 3D environment and for object selection. The object selection offers the possibility to select an object in order to change its parameters or to display the position of the selected object in the object table (see chapter User interface / tab "Objects" / Tree view).
Layout: is used to control the 3D environment, for object selection and object manipulation. The manipulation possibilities include shifting along coordinate axes or within coordinate plane and the rotation around coordinate axes (see chapter User interface / 3D view / Object manipulation).
Path map: supports the creation of a path/route map on the floor object. The transport effort associated with the imported ema Plant Designer data is computed based on this network of paths. How to create a path map is described in chapter User interface / 3D settings / Interaction modes / Path map.
Measurement: is used for computing the euclidean distance between two points in three-dimensional space (see chapter User interface / 3D settings / Measurement).
